My Story
I am a student of life and most importantly myself. I received the call to change almost a decade ago, and I haven’t looked back. It all started with an awakening born out of immense pain and discomfort in my life, and an awareness that knew instinctively I had to change.
It’s been a long road with many ups and downs and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I have immersed myself in coaching, therapy, an intensive consumption of books, meditation retreats, plant medicine retreats and have completed 300 hours of Meditation Teacher Training through Yoga MCC. In December 2023 I embarked on a journey to Costa Rica to complete an intensive 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program as a complement to the mindfulness work I hope to share. I have completed breath work training from Pranyama Sadhana and in September 2025 I completed my 50 hour Yin Yoga training with Bernie Clark in Vancouver British Columbia.
If there is anything I have learned, and take to heart, it is that life is the best teacher we could hope for if we are open to receiving its lessons. I would love to explore your story with you.
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself”
~ Rumi
Welcome to Meditative State. I’m Michael Bolianatz, founder, Yin Yoga teacher, and meditation guide. I am an energy sector professional and now a certified yoga teachers and meditation coach. I have been personally meditating for 8 years and through the practice have become a different human being. It has set me free and changed the way I show up in my own life.
I have found such purpose and meaning in this work and I am excited to speak about wellness and growth with anyone who will listen.
I’m a avid outdoorsman, I love being in nature. Hiking, back country camping, paddle boarding, walking, snow shoeing and golfing to name a few. I’ve really immersed myself into my yoga practice in the last few years and have found teaching as a way to share my energy.
I have a furry best friend that my world revolves around. She’s the best medicine, besides the breath, one could have.
Life is good.
